This Privacy Policy explains how Zippy (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Zippy mobile app to book home services. By using Zippy, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

When you sign up and book a service, we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, and service address.

To verify your identity we use phone-number sign-in (one-time SMS codes). If you choose to upload photos with a service request, we collect those images. With your permission, we collect your device location to find services near you and set your service address.

We also collect basic usage and device data — such as app version and diagnostic logs — to keep the app running smoothly.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used to confirm and deliver bookings, process payments, match you with the right professional, send important updates about your service, and provide customer support.

We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve our services. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Payments

Card and payment details are handled by our secure payment partner, Stripe. Zippy never stores your full card number on its servers. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.

4. Sharing

We share only what is necessary to deliver your service — for example, your name, address, and booking time with the assigned professional.

We work with trusted service providers to operate the app, including Firebase (authentication and notifications), Supabase (secure data storage), and Stripe (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications about booking confirmations, arrival times, and offers. You can turn these off any time in your device settings.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. While no system is perfectly secure, we work hard to keep your data safe.

7. Your Rights

You can view, update, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us through the app or by email. When you request account deletion, we remove your personal data except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) by law.

8. Children's Privacy

Zippy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
